Inspiration Giveaway!

I haven't participated in a Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop for awhile (mainly because I've been crazy busy with my decluttering), but when I learned of this week's theme, your inspiration, it was hard not to want to join in. The better question for me is "what doesn't inspire me?," because I am inspired by so much. I love flipping through magazines and craft books, looking through blogs, collecting quotes, creating with friends, etc..

But when I truly think about it, what inspires me most is my two girls. There is nothing more energizing and inspiring than the "joie de vivre" of a 3 year old (she's just days from turning 4) and a 6-1/2 year old. I love watching them grow and play and learn, watching their different personalities develop. I love watching them light up when they find something they love.

But what I am inspired by most is the way they make me want to live my life. Because of them I am inspired to live my best and happiest life. I am inspired to appreciate today. I am inspired to not only dream for them, but to dream for me. And to quote my own artistic vision statement:

"As I live my life...I wish for my girls to learn from me. I would like them to recognize and cherish the beauty of life as I do. And I hope from my example they learn to live a life they love."

So to celebrate my inspired life and my girls I'd like to finally offer a giveaway I've hinted at. It's time to giveaway a copy of Stampington's newly published Create With Me, a children's art magazine. Rebecca, Katherine, and I were lucky enough to have artwork and an article included and we couldn't be more excited (we just spotted them at our local bookstore last night).

If you'd like the chance to win a little creative inspiration of your own, please leave me a comment sharing your inspiration and I'll randomly select a winner on Tuesday (Katherine's birthday, another great reason to celebrate)!

I LURVE your artistic vision statement - how beautiful! And Erika is right - how cool that your girls got to see their stamp on the world published! My inspiration is my music - give me the wood and steel of a guitar and I'm good to go! Hope to share the love of all things beautiful with our new little guy!

like you i love sharing art time with my kids. they are amazing little artists, who inspire me everyday. my hope is i can be open enough to guide them on their artistic paths rather than steer them away from their own light.

How awesome is that! I love your vision statement. Our kids are so soaking us up...the good stuff and the bad stuff. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a interesting magazine. My girls are older now but I'm sure my grandkids would love it!

Oh, the "joi de vivre" of an almost 4-year old and 6 yr old! I understand! My 4 yr old sparkles with it and my 9 year old lets herself go with it when she's not being "dignified and grown-up".

Thank you for your kind words on my blog!

I am LOVING the new Create With Me magazine!!! I've been slowly savoring each article over the past 2 weeks!

Also see 2 of your fave books are mine too: Taking Flight & Artistic Mother!

So good to find your little corner here!

Very cool! :-) Photography inspires me..I don't want to be a professional, just like playing with my own camera and getting shots that I love. Love stalking photography blogs... Very cute stuff here!
